This is part of a mini-Merlin-exchange. It’s my exchange-gift for Goss, (who is an absolutely LOVELY artist, and it’s so nice to do something for someone whose work you have enjoyed so much.)

Based off her prompt “ "Protection” and hopefully including Merlin/Arthur and a hint of H/C.

The idea behind the picture is that Merlin has been captured by bandits and Arthur is rescuing him. So this one isn't actually a sad picture once you know that. :lol:

This reminds me of a fic....but in that Arthur wears the bracelet and Merlin is forced to protect him in the beginning. Eventually they protect each other.. Lovely.

"The eye of the phoenix" episode? I love that episode, it's very close to how Arthurian legends should be, very epic/fairytale. I wish they had made more episodes like that. That's a great episode.
